Today a new President was sworn into office in a peaceful change of power, but how long will this last? As the radical left gains more and more institutional power throughout the bureaucracy this may not always be the case. This new trial of old errors that are the stated policy objectives of the new administration portends to a period of increased economic uncertainty and could even lead to a increased downward spiral in employment, wages, and the general standard of living.
The "press" which prides itself on its "objectivity" and "unbiased" presentation of the facts report that the new Administration will be the best ever, and that the new President is the most brilliant person to have ever held the office. Time will tell.....
In the meantime they advise the rest of us that we will just have to unite behind the new President and support him in his new policies, just like they said for the previous administration, or did they? I do not recall that happening during the Bush Administration. Even before Mr. Bush took the oath of office the press was in the forefront judging and analyzing the "right-wing" policies and condemning them as "harsh" and "mean spirited" toward the poor and minorities. I don't recall this admonition to support the President and his policies as that being preached by the media today. In fact, I do recall the Junior Senator from New York telling us that disagreeing with the President was patriotic and our duty, curious, is it not, why this isn't so today?
Over the next 100 days one risky radical socialist scheme after another will be coming out of Washington covering a multitude of policy areas, hopefully the Republican Party will have the intestinal fortitude to stand up and let their voices and votes be heard with the constant reminder to the Democratic Party majority that their legislation will be repealed when the power shifts back to the Republicans, as it will when the policies start taking large bites out of the taxpayers wallet and as the freedom and liberty we all hold dear becomes more and more under constant threat by the left.
